Antiperspirant vs. Deodorant: What is the difference?
What’s the difference between deodorant and antiperspirant? When you know the ins and outs, choosing one that works for you is easy.
Here’s our quick guide full of tips for which one to choose and when, so you stay feeling protected all day long – no matter what your choice is.
It’s simple. Deodorant protects against odour, while antiperspirant protects against sweat and odour. when Tweens just start entering their smelly years it is important for them to use deodorant to mask the smell and stay fresh – antiperspirants can always come in when they are slightly older. So, you don’t want to block their pores, but you do want to keep them smelling good, which is what the Motley Crew deodorant range was designed for.
Which one should you choose?
Tailor your protection to your needs. Having a relaxing day? If sweat is not a concern, you can choose deodorant with 0% aluminum for all day freshness. Try the cool scent of Motley Crew Cool Ctrl or Flower Power. Otherwise, try something warmer like Motley Crew Vanilla or Funky Fresh. All of these don’t contain aluminium and are gently formulated and safe for children to us.
Should the Aluminium in antiperspirants be a concern?
While aluminum-based antiperspirants are effective against sweat, it’s been suggested that aluminum and other ingredients found in antiperspirants (parabens and propylene glycol) might be linked to an increased risk of some medical problems.
For kids, we recommend staying clear or these and encourage rather washing more regularly.
